For making scenario we need different software, maybe it’ll be better to get them before the next lection so you can follow me faster!
What we need?
I’m working now on Adobe CS3 platform, you can download the software in trail versione directly from Adobe Website. In the first pratical lection we’ll use:
- Adobe After Effect CS3
- Adobe Premiere CS3
- Apple Quicktime (you can get it directly from Apple Store)
I’ll show use also how to manage an set a camera for recording, and how you can import and save video on Adobe Premiere. If you have trouble or question about the software write me!
Adobe Cs4 is at the moment the best design suite ever, with really interesting new functions. I think that this links will be interesting for you to understand witch new features this version has.
Adobe production studio new features
http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/features/?view=topnew (After Effect new features)
http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/features/?view=topnew (Adobe Premiere new features)
Starting with the Adobe Cs3 suite, you still have a complete integrated tool of software that give you the possibility to do different kind of projects. One of the most important functions is CS3 for video was the possibility to import files from Adobe Premiere and After Effects, so now you can have a dynamical power workflow for your work. For this I really suggest to work all the class witch the CS3 version or may be if you wont also with the new CS4!
I think also that if you have time you can take a look on this interesting links:
- http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/cs3/articles/workflow_guides.html (here you can download the production workflow, for understanding how you can work with video and media)
- http://tv.adobe.com/ (articles and tutorials from Adobe world)
In the next lection we’ll see the production workflow for creating a video starting from zero.
The lection will be concerned on Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effect, and may be I’ll spend more time on this software because I saw in your profile paper, that only few people know how to work with them.
After that I’ll explain how to use software like Illustrator or Photoshop, that you may be still know, in the same workflow with Premiere and AE, to create complex works.
For the next lection it will be good if you have still installed a trial version of the software, because it’ll be more easy to understand the main interface and we can go faster!
This is my first post about new examples of scenario to watch:
I’ll try to subdivide them always in category so you can catch directly which one you’re interested in.
In this one I’ll post something about future scenarios for interaction and mobile but also for business.
They came out from Microsoft Labs, and they try to explain how we’ll use technology in the next.

You’ll se that more from our next apointment because it’s to difficult to give you a complete overview for all the software. So here you can find other interesting links both for understanding and for watching new interesting scenarios (I’ll post also on your course blog), but also for finding interesting tutorial and to give you some advice for developing your course’s project or answers to yours technical questions!
Thanks to all and stay tuned, I’ll try to post as much as possible!
